Sir Richard Branson made history Sunday. Inventors and entrepreneurs do what no one else has done. They are the source of progress.
Branson was famous before his flight, but when he quit school at 16 to start his first company his headmaster wrote “Congratulations, Branson. I predict that you will either go to prison or become a millionaire.” Today – millionaire multiplied by thousands.
No one knew Wilbur or Orville Wright outside their town and small bicycle garage in 1903.
In fact the US Army and Smithsonian had awarded $70,000 – $7,350,000 in today’s dollars a well-known physicist, Samuel Langley to develop the first piloted airplane.
